World No Tobacco Day

World No Tobacco Day is observed around the world every year on 31 May. There are around 120 million smokers in India. As indicated by the World Health Organization (WHO), India is home to 12% of the world’s smokers. In excess of 1 million people die every year because of tobacco in India. As per 2002 WHO, 30% of grown-up guys in India smoke.
