Weight loss is the one New Year’s Resolution on most people’s list every year. Gym memberships always sky rocket just hours after the ball drops in Time Square. However, just a month or so into the year you’ll easily find an empty treadmill or cycling class to sign up for. If you made plans to get in shape and shed a few pounds this year, here are a few tips to help you fight losing your weight loss battle at the waistline.
1. Develop A Plan
As with any goal in life to lose weight you must create a plan of action. Join an exercise class, create a work out schedule, watch your diet etc.
2. Set Realistic Goals
Be honest with yourself. Don’t expect to go from a size 22 to a Zero overnight. It takes time to get in shape. Remember supermodels, pro athletes or whoever else’s body your gawking over didn’t get that body overnight. It took time, dedication, hard work, and maybe even a little surgery and airbrushing.
3. Be Positive!
Getting in shape or simply maintaining good health is the hardest thing you will ever do in life. That being said, remember to stay positive. It’s a whole lot easier to run a mile with a good attitude than it is Thinking negative the whole way!
4. Grab a Partner!
In life we all could get so much further if we worked together. So grab a partner to workout with. Working out is way more fun with a mate. Plus having someone to keep you accountable will help you stay the course.
